The New Covenant Heavenly Sanctuary vs The Old Covenant Earthly Sanctuary

The New Covenant Heavenly Sanctuary vs The Old Covenant Earthly Sanctuary

I’ve written this post in response to a man who is in favor of the physical nation of Israel rebuilding an earthly temple.   You quote Ezekiel as being proof or justification for a worldly temple to be rebuilt today, as though it’s with the blessings of God because of what you read in Ezekiel 38-48; but that isn’t true or applicable under the New Covenant and here is why:   During the time of Daniel, Ezekiel and Nehemiah the children of Israel were in Babylonian captivity and at the beginning of that captivity, Solomon’s temple had been destroyed.   2Kings 25:8-10 “And in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which is the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem: And he burnt the house of the LORD, and the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great man’s house burnt he with fire. And all the army of the Chaldees, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down the walls of Jerusalem round about.”   Solomon’s temple was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. This happened before the writing of Ezekiel which reads, “…in the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin’s captivity…” in which Ezekiel saw visions of God. Jehoiachin was taken captive by Nebuchadnezzar in 2 Kings 24:8-15.   1.) Solomon’s temple was destroyed.   2.) Ezekiel sees visions of God 5 years later detailing the blueprints for the temple to be rebuilt.   3.)...
Does the 4th Commandment Matter Today?

Does the 4th Commandment Matter Today?

“Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.   It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day He rested, and was refreshed.”   ARE YOU CHRIST’S? If you are then you are Abraham’s seed bound by God’s covenant. All Christians are commanded to keep the seventh day Sabbath holy by a perpetual decree – not the first day of the week. It still matters to God for several reasons. The scriptures below weave together the associations God has made for us today, under the New Covenant which basically show:   1. . God’s covenant given to Abraham is a promise that is still very much in effect today under the New Covenant. The Lord said that he would be the father of many nations and generations. God’s promise to Abraham is still actively going on and also sets up the source of our inheritance which therefore also establishes the source of our obligations to keep the aspects of that covenant which have carried forward to us today living in the 21st century.   2. The burden of the Lord, which is light and easy as Jesus said, are the conditions of the Everlasting Covenant/Everlasting Gospel that we are supposed to obey as our duty as God’s children and we will be called God’s children; another promise given to us by that covenant.   What is so important about being God’s children? Only God’s children will inherit salvation...
Defining God’s Grace Given to Noah

Defining God’s Grace Given to Noah

Genesis chapter 6 is the very first place the word grace is found in the Bible. To get a better understanding of what God means when He speaks about the word grace, we go to the Bible to find His definition and the way He manifested it to Noah. “Seek and you shall find”; so let’s knock on the door of the Word of God and see what He will show us. If we go directly to its first usage, we see that “Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.” Instead of relying on what we may think this means, we should examine everything that’s occurring all around this statement to get a better view and the larger picture. Genesis 6:7-8 “And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth Me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.” We find the total destruction of man and we find Noah finding grace in the eyes of the LORD. Digging deeper we will discover more information about grace and how Noah obtained it and why the others didn’t. Genesis 6:5-6 “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart.” Let’s compare what’s being said about Noah and...
There Is Now Therefore No Condemnation To Who? Romans 8:1

There Is Now Therefore No Condemnation To Who? Romans 8:1

Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” I’m convinced that most Chirstians (95% + ) who hear this scripture hear: There is therefore now no condemnation to those; who are called Christians, who have made a one time verbal profession of faith, believe that Jesus is the Son of the living God who died for the sins of the world, accepting Him as their Savior, so that from now on they are eternally secure in their salvation no matter what they do from that point forward. WHY? Because they all believe they are following after the Spirit not knowing what that means or how God defines it. They are thinking like the church of the Laodiceans. But is that really what Romans 8:1 said? No. What Is Walking after the Spirit? Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Ephesians 5:9 “For the fruit of the Spirit is in ALL goodness and righteousness and truth;” “Against such there is no law” so as long as you don’t break God’s laws you are not under condemnation of the law (the wages of sin is death). Romans 8:1 is stating the obvious (or what should be obvious) and goes on to warn that if you walk after the flesh you shall die which is falling into condemnation. Can Christians who have received the gift of the Holy Spirit and His word fall into condemnation? Yes, we are...
What Does Condemnation Mean to God?

What Does Condemnation Mean to God?

What does condemnation mean according to God’s definition? First usage of the term is found in: Exodus 22:9 “For all manner of trespass,… … the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whom the judges shall condemn, he shall pay double unto his neighbour.” The second usage of condemn: Deuteronomy 25:1 “If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.” Proverbs 12:2 “A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.” Mark 14:64 “Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.” (This was a false accusation/condemnation against Jesus Our example of what the term condemn means is when someone commits a trespass; which is to sin against God’s law, then they are brought into judgment where they are condemned; which is to be found guilty of breaking God’s law, then the punishment/penalty is also exacted upon the person who trespassed (sinned). As I listed up above fellow Christian believers under the New Covenant can and do fall into condemnation. Now, does that automatically mean they are condemned to eternal damnation? No, not if they confess, repent and ask forgiveness of those sins as we are instructed by God to do when we commit sin; then the blood of Jesus will cleanse us from all unrighteousness if we do it with a sincere heart desiring to be reconciled to God. 1John 1:5-10 “This then is the message which we have...
What Makes Someone Righteous in the eyes of the LORD?

What Makes Someone Righteous in the eyes of the LORD?

This post is about an ongoing disagreement about what makes someone righteous in the eyes of the LORD. Why is righteousness important? Because God says that “the unrighteous” will not inherit eternal life. He doesn’t say non-Christians, He says the ungodly and the unrighteous will not inherit eternal life. So we need to know what that means don’t we? I’ve been saying that when we keep God’s covenant (whether that was under the Old or New covenant) God calls us righteous, holy, just, blameless and perfect. Perfect meaning without sin; not because we haven’t sinned because everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Perfect meaning God has justified (forgiven) us and cleansed us from all unrighteousness and promises us eternal life if we continue in His covenant doing His will until the end of our lives. I quoted Luke 1:6 to prove what constitutes righteousness to God. Luke 1:5-6 “There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.” Poster “newcovenant” disagrees with my position and this is his rebuttal: “People use this verse to prove that it is possible to obtain righteousness with God by obeying the law, but Israel tried on multiple occasions and failed to obey.” – by newcovenant We have Hebrews chapter 11 which clarifies for us that Not All folks living under the Old Covenant failed to...
What’s Important about the The Blood of Jesus?

What’s Important about the The Blood of Jesus?

“newcovenant” brought up an excellent topic and point, so I would like to share it with everyone here. The topic is of salvation and the blood of Jesus Christ. I said in an earlier post that only the blood of Jesus Christ can save a man to which “newcovenant” responded: “Strictly speaking, this is not correct; the blood does not save anyone. Romans 5:10 is a very important verse:” – “newcovenant” “newcovenant”, The blood of Jesus Christ has a dual applicaiton to our salvation. The blood of the Everlasting Covenant is both physical blood and spiritual blood and without either one of them, we would not be able to have eternal life. If you had recognized the word blood with both its physical and spiritual application as I also intended it to be, then you would have known that The Holy Spirit is also included in what I meant. I’m glad you stopped to consider this topic because I think it’s a great opportunity to show the depth of what the blood of the Lamb is and how it applies to us today under the New Covenant. If we go back to our schoolmaster, the Old Testament, we’ll see the plan of salvation that God designed and established to give to His children from the beginning of creation with Adam. Revelation 13:8 “…the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” We know that Jesus didn’t die at the beginning of the creation, the foundation of the world. But what it is saying, is that it was predetermined by God the Father to send...

Are We Under God’s Laws in the New Covenant?

This post was made in reference to  a comment posted to me concerning the video on WorldNetDaily by Richard Rives – JUST THE FACTS – dated November 18, 2014 Which Laws Has God ‘Written on Our Hearts?’   1 Corinthians 9:21 “… being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ, that I might gain them that are without law.” Romans 7:25 “I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God….” James 2:8-12 “If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.” If we as born again believers sin against God by breaking His covenant (commandments), then as a transgressor it becomes the same as if you never knew God “…I never knew you”. Our sin separates us from God until we repent. The law of liberty doesn’t mean what many people think it means. We are at liberty to know that Christ is in heaven ready to forgive us, all we are required to do is humbly, sincerely...

Is Keeping God’s New Covenant Legalism?

This post was made in reference to  a comment posted to me concerning the video on WorldNetDaily by Richard Rives – JUST THE FACTS – dated November 11, 2014 “How Do You Know if You Know God?” ttruthiot, Then are you suggesting that because we fail and commit sin; even though we return in confession and repentance (according to God’s commandments), that we are not obeying God? Based on that, are you also concluding that no one is required by God under the New Covenant to keep His laws today? We know that those under the Old Testament were not justified by the laws they were keeping. They were justified by faith in the coming Messiah and were obedient to what God told them to do when they sinned. If those are your conclusions, then the problem with your argument would be in not addressing the sanctuary system and the laws governing in heaven. The Lord’s Prayer guides a repentant sinner to the throne room to request and receive forgiveness of sins and to receive “our daily bread” the Holy Spirit which is the only thing that quickens (gives us life) once we’ve lost it through committing sin. When we obey the heavenly sanctuary laws, we are in obedience to what God has commanded us to do when we sin and therefore we are righteous. Righteous because of the justification given to us through our Messiah’s sacrificial death and His resurrected life when we keep His covenant. In keeping His covenant, we will receive all the promises of that covenant. Romans 4:25 “Who was delivered for our offences,...

Does Hebrews Tell us to Keep all Laws given to Moses?

This post was made in reference to  a comment posted to me concerning the video on WorldNetDaily by Richard Rives – JUST THE FACTS – dated November 11, 2014 “How Do You Know if You Know God?” Commenter on WND abbygirl08 said she believes she’s in agreement with what I’ve said about Hebrews 10:26 and “sinning willfully” but goes on to ask if I also believe the author of the book of Hebrews is directing us to keep the remainder of the laws that were given by Moses (which God gave Him). Hello abbygirl08, If you mean Leviticus 18, yes. But not all the laws given by Moses apply today. There are laws that are binding under both covenants. The Ten Commandments are the obvious ones. It’s clear to me that God demands righteous behavior. The LORD required heathen nations – who were not Israel – to obey His righteous ways (laws). God gave those heathen nations time to repent and the ones spoken of in Genesis and Leviticus 18 didn’t and the LORD destroyed them. Genesis 15:16 “…for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.” God sent Jonah to warn Nineveh (heathen nation) and they repented – God saved them because they turned to obey what was righteous. Matthew 12:41 “The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is...
